怀卡托国际学院于2015年5月经教育部批准设立（许可证号No:GOV33AUA03DNR20150838N），为学校与新西兰怀卡托理工学院共同创办管理的中外合作办学机构，实行联合管理委员会领导下的院长负责制。学院旨在引进国际优质教育资源，实现中新双方教育教学的优势互补，立足服务于区域经济社会发展，培养既具国际视野又具扎实专业知识的高素质技术技能型人才。目前，怀卡托国际学院已连续招生7年，拥有应用电子技术、计算机应用技术、计算机网络技术、建筑工程技术、模具设计与制造、艺术设计、数字媒体艺术设计等7个专业，现有在校生1300余人。

       Jinhua Polytechnic Waikato International College (JPWIC) is approved to be established by the Education Ministry of the People’s Republic of China (License No.: GOV33AUA03DNR20150838N) in May, 2015. It is a Sino-foreign cooperative education institution jointly established by the school and the Waikato Institute of Technology, New Zealand. It has been enrolled for 7 consecutive years. Through the president responsibility system under the leadership of the Joint Management Committee, it aims to introduce international high-quality educational resources. It works on implementing the complementary advantages of China-New Zealand education and teaching. Its goal is to provide services for regional economic and social development, and to cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talents with international vision and advanced professional knowledge. There are 7 majors, including Applied Electronic Technology, Computer Networking Technology, Computer Application Technology, Architectural Engineering Technology, Mold Design and Manufacture, Art Design, and Digital Media Art Design. There are about 1,300 full-time students.

       怀卡托国际学院的学生在完成相关专业人才培养方案规定的课程，经考核合格后，可同时获得中新双方相应文凭，符合条件毕业生可前往新西兰理工学院攻读本科。截至目前，已近30位同学赴新西兰理工学院攻读本科，其中1位同学在新西兰奥克兰理工大学攻读硕士，2位同学在新西兰科技公司就业。据近年浙江省教育评估院评价数据显示，毕业生毕业半年后的平均就业率、平均就业现状满意度、用人单位满意度、平均月收入等指标远高出省内同专业的平均水平。

       Students complete academic courses specified in the personnel training program of the relevant major. Upon passing the examination, students can obtain the corresponding diplomas of both schools in China and New Zealand. The qualified graduates can go to Waikato Institute of Technology to further study in the undergraduate program. Up to now, nearly 30 students have gone to Waikato Institute of Technology for undergraduate degrees. According to the evaluation data of Zhejiang Education Evaluation Institute in recent years, the average employment rate, the average employment status satisfaction, employer satisfaction, and the average monthly income of graduates after six months of graduation are much higher than the average level of the same profession in the province.

       学院专业优势明显，教学特点鲜明。目前开设的7个专业均为省重点校优势特色专业群建设专业或专业群领航专业。各专业引进新西兰国家标准的优质课程达三分之一以上。中方建成国家教学资源库8个标志性子项目，以及4门国家精品课程、4门国家精品资源共享课、6门省级精品课程；外教主讲课程的门数和时数占全部课程的三分之一以上，外教为面向全球招聘的优秀外籍教师，博士学位教师占比近15％。中方教学团队高级职称比例达40%以上，拥有省级职业教育教师教育创新团队、省级优秀教学团队、校级优秀教学团队等荣誉称号，实施外方全过程质量监控，教学质量有保证。

       The college has a large number of professional advantages and distinctive teaching features. The steven majors are all dominant professional groups or professional group pilots of the key schools in Zhejiang. More than one-third of the quality courses are introduced by New Zealand’s national standards. The Chinese side has built 8 landmark sub-projects of the National Teaching Resource Library, as well as 4 national quality courses, 4 national resource-sharing classes, and 6 provincial-level quality courses. The number and hours of foreign teacher lectures account for one-third of all courses. The school’s foreign teachers are excellent experts recruited from around the world. And nearly 15% of them are doctoral teachers. The proportion of senior professional titles in the Chinese teaching team is more than 40%. The school has the honorary titles of Provincial Vocational Education Teacher Education Innovation Team, Provincial Excellent Teaching Team, and Excellent Teaching Team at the school level. It implements the quality monitoring of the whole process and guarantees the high quality of teaching.
